Fast Five making $86 million is the greatest news I've heard in a while.
This is just further proof that the majority of people don't give a
shit what they're watching, they just want an escape from reality. Who
wants quality when they watch a movie!? Personally, I would be perfectly
happy watching all the Fastest and Most Furious-est movies on
repeat...maybe once in a while, switch it up and watch Pluto Nash or
Glitter.
I really hope that by the time I'm in my Fifties, they
will be gracing the screen with Fast Forty Five. If we are blessed with
that gem, then we would of course need SAW XXXXV. I'm still waiting for a
movie starring Martin Lawrence, Vin Diesel, Andy Dick, Kathy Griffin
and Gilbert Godfried. We could only be so lucky.
Is it too much
to ask that Hollywood only makes comic book movies and TV show to big
screen movies!? I still say there should be a Quantum Leap movie (I'm
not being sarcastic, it really would be awesome). Scott Bakula isn't
that old and could still pull it off! Maybe a Charles in Charge movie as
well? Facts of Life? Growing Pains? Step By Step???
Seriously
guys, we gotta stop letting Hollywood get away with insulting our
intelligence with this crap. Instead of going to see a movie like Fast
Five, give an independent movie a try. You might just like it. I'm not
saying any of you on here don't see independent movies, I'm talking
everyone world wide. I don't know anybody that saw Memento and said "It
sucked, I wish I saw Battlefield Earth instead...
